A note from Joyce: Ordinary People

I found this lyric from a song in a book that I am reading.  I thought it fit our group so very much.  We have a ministry and it takes just ordinary people like us to make the quilts.  Every step in making the quilts is necessary and important from cutting out, sewing, pressing, pinning together the layers, putting in ties, sewing the binding, and praying.   Oh and I forgot Amy even straightening the pins.  Everyone is important and needed.

     Ordinary People
Just ordinary people,
God uses ordinary people.
He chooses people just like me and you
Who are willing to do as He commands.
God uses people that will give Him all,
No matter how small your all may seem to you;
Because little becomes much as you place it in
      The Master’s hand.
Oh, just like that little lad
Who gave Jesus all he had;
How the multitude was fed
With the fish and the loaves of bread.
What you have may not seem much,
But when you yield it to the touch
Of the Master’s loving hand, yes,
Then you’ll understand how your life could
    Never be the same.

I just wanted each one of you to know how important you are.
God bless and give you a good week.
Love, Joyce

We prayed for Careen, her job, and that she may trust in Jesus to help her in life's
challenges.

TJ

TJ is Donna Pierce's sister-in-law who has been diagnosed with cancer.
We pray for comfort, healing, reliance on Jesus the Great Physician.

"TJ has gone through cancer a couple other times prior to her last diagnosis.  The last check she had was in October and they apparently didn't find anything at that point so they feel it is fast moving.  From what we understand, she has cancer in her lungs, uterus pelvis and rectal wall.  She started chemo and the information given us was that it is not curable and the chemo is only to buy some time for them.  She was having abdomen pain and has trouble keeping some foods down.  Dave, Brett's uncle, was concerned with their adoptive daughter Abby (recently turned six) and the effects on her.  Right now, the whole family could use the prayers as it was just a short few years ago they became a family with Abby and things are happening so quickly now with TJ.  We have been waiting for more updates through another one of Brett's aunts so it cuts down on the number of contacts and updates Dave has to give out for the family.  I think I may have said they lived in Michigan but that was not true - they have moved a couple times and I was obviously incorrect - they are in Twinsburg, OH so we will probably not see them until the end."
