Good morning on a cloudy dreary day…….we are just going to have to make our own JOY!

I always enjoy our quilt nights.  It is so great to be able to bring some joy to other people’s lives.  

We gave quilts to

1564. Madeline, the grandma of Anna’s boyfriend, who has cancer 

1565.Jim Ragsdale fighting cancer 

1566. Renner Jensen who has a brain bleed 

1567.Tishena, a client of Deanna’s who fell down stairs and broke several ribs 

1568. Silas, a friend of Holly’s, born with Down syndrome 

Thank you Marian for the treats.

Our next work night is Feb. 10th.

We are a special group.  Remember to pray for one another.  Pray for Ann as she gets a new hip the first week of Feb.

Finally back together to do some quilting and praying! 

Luke Constantino and Noah Salmen joined in for some computer repair and prayer.

There were 2 quilts prayed for earlier:

1554. Jason& Sarah Stephanie’s friend with brain cancer

We also prepared quilts and prayed for

1555. Jenn, Barb Fiege’s daughter-in-law who has a brain tumor and will have surgery

1556. Dodi Young who has cervical cancer 

1557. Taiye Olomi, recent DSU graduate

1558. Kelli Koepsel, whose father died

1559. Ann, whose brother died on Christmas 

1560. Jordyn and 1561.Jacob; their father (friend of Tom’s) died from a heart attack

1562. Dan, who has brain cancer

1563. Luke Constantino, recently graduated from DSU and will be working for DSU and WCBC

It was a busy night with lots of fun and laughter, and plenty of delicious treats.

As soon as Joyce gets her computer fixed, she will be back to sending out the emails!

                         And we remember to always CHOOSE JOY!

It was a snowy Saturday morning but we ended up with 11 adults and 8 kids so that was good.  

We miss those who could not be here.

We gave quilts to 

1547. Carrie Wieman who is dealing with cancer 

1548. Dave Theilbar also having cancer.   

1549. We did a happy quilt for Anna’s little nephew, Theodore.

1550,1551,1552.We gave 3 quilts to Domestic Violance. 

Our next work night will be the 2nd Tuesday in January…..no more in 2025.

Thanks for your faithfulness for our quilting ministry.

 It was a snowy and windy miserable night but ended up with a good evening…by the time we were ready to tye knots and pray for the quilts we ended up with 8 ladies and 3 girls around the table. 

 We prayed and did quilts for 

1542.Eric & Ann Hall. Eric is Trevor’s 55 yr. old uncle who had a stroke

1543.Heather Eckert..Stephanie’s co-worker, whose young husband died suddenly leaving Heather with 3 young children

1544.Shalace Martin having some difficult medical issues after giving birth

1545.Dave Cecil, Amy’s Dad, who needs much encouragement, having to care for his wife

1546.Linda Liscano, Ben’s Mom, recovering from back surgery.

It takes many hands to continue our mission with the quilts……the many that sew at home, those who help get the tops ready with  batting and backing…..for the much ironing…..for the continuous pinning…..for the many treats.

Thank you each one of you……you are all important.

Dec. 6th we will have our Christmas brunch at 11:00.  Bring some goodies for our brunch table but if you don’t have anything be sure to come anyway.  Please bring items to give to Domestic Violence.  Girls, you need to join us too.

We will have some quilts to give to Domestic Violence too.

Choose Joy this Thanksgiving.  God is so good.

We had another good busy night.  Thank you so much for your faithfulness to this mission.

We gave quilts to 

1537.  Ava W, who is waiting for surgery to correct her body to lessen the headaches (Chiari malformation) 

1538.  Quincy K. who injured his knee…. 

1539.  Carmen, dealing with cancer… 

1540.  Andrea, a friend of Deanna’s who is dealing with much grief 

1541.  Juana, Rocio Liscano’s mother who is moving to Rocio’s from Peru.   

Continue to pray for these individual’s.  Continue to pray for Marli Wiese, Delora Sims, and Doug Neison as they continue to fight the cancer battle.

 

We have one more work night in 2025; Nov. 25th.   We will have our Christmas brunch on Sat., Dec. 6th at 11:00 AM.  Bring any goodies that you may have.  If you don’t have anything  come and join us anyway.  That is our only meeting in Dec.  We will meet again in Jan.

 

Thank you so much Ann for the goodies.

 

There is much sadness and grief in this world but remember we have a God of love.

 Congratulations Abby and Ryan….what a precious baby boy.

We had another good night.  We missed several but we kept going.

We gave two quilts….

1536. Karie, Carleigh Foland’s sister, whose son and ex-husband have died.

Our next work night is Nov. 11^th.  We only have 2 work times in 2025 left.  We will have our Christmas brunch Saturday Dec. 6^th  (No work nights in Dec.).

1531.Karl a young man who has lost two family members to suicide.

1532.Grace a freshman at Madison High who had brain surgery.

1533.Lelah a foster child of the Stones

1544.Jacob a friend of Deanna’s who was badly injured in an accident.

Continue to pray for Marli, Delora, and Doug dealing with cancer.

 

Our next work night is Oct. 28th.
