 Last night there were only four of us so I really had to crack the whip.  It was a good night.  We did quilts for 

943.Rex and LeAnn Haskins, Derrick’s parents,….dealing with medical problems and aging parents….

944. for Zayda, a 14 yr. old, dealing with medical problems……

945. for Steve Fawbush who is suffering from a stroke….

946. for Celina Rowland who is graduating from high school.

It will be 3 weeks before we meet again on April 12^th.

Thanks Mary for your delicious apple bars.

It is a cold windy day but remember to count your blessings count them one by one and you will see all that the Lord has done.

Good morning ladies.  Thank you for your continuous work with the prayer quilts.

Last night we enjoyed our guests Noah and Derrick Haskins, our pastoral intern.

We did quilts and prayed for

937. Derrick as he enters into a new career and going to a seminary in Kansas City

938…..for Derrick’s  close friends the Scarborough Family who recently lost their dear wife and mother

939…..for Joanne Lovro…Joanne’s husband, Steve, was my snow scooping angel….he died last week at the age of 55

940. for Patrick and Erica Burger….Patrick is dealing with a broken leg hoping for healing by the time of the arrival of their new baby

941…..for Lucas and Amber Muller…Lucas is a young husband and father of two young children…he is dealing with many hard difficult health issues

942.…for Colt Coombs a 5 year old from ND who is in critical condition after a car accident.

May we continue  to thank God for the many people that he puts in our path to pray for……may they feel our love through the prayers and quilts.

Our next work night is March 22^nd.

Life is filled with overwhelming tragedy, but it’s also filled with incomparable beauty.  

God doesn’t come to us only in the happy times. 

 He comes to us through our scars and wounds.

 Good morning dear friends on a windy but sunny day.

Last  night we pinned and tied many quilts.  We remembered the Hofman family during this very sad time.

934. also one for Jay Martin who has been in a snowmobile accident…..

It was so fun to have my niece Linda join us as we did quilts for a friend of hers

935..for Kaycen John who died at birth and 

936.for Mayven Judith who was born at 24 weeks and is in NICU but doing well.  

It was a special time of prayer.

May we continue to lift each other in prayer.

Next quilt night will be Feb. 22^nd.

 Good morning friends.

Last night we were a small group but it turned out to be a night we will not forget.  A night with many tears and joy upholding a family who is facing the future with many unknowns.  Tim and Jen Schut and Tim’s mother Pam joined us for the evening.  Tim has a very rare disease of the brain (PPAOS; primary progressive apraxia of speech) that will leave him speechless and with a short life.  God blessed us with their presence while they told us what they are facing and how they are facing each day.  

925&926. We did a quilt for Tim and Jen and also for Pam……

                       

                                          

927.we also did quilts for Keith Nelson who is facing some medical problems….

928.for Dave & Laura Johnson….Dave had a brain aneurism and is in a coma in a Sioux Falls Hospital…..

929.for the Moore family…..one of the Moore boys is a good friend of my granddaughter Lauren…..their Dad committed suicide last week.  

930. for Pastor James and Dorothy Christopherson….James fell and broke his hip and shoulder.  James and Dorothy are  Mary Hunter’s parents.  They have been living in an assisted living facility in Sioux Falls.

931. Benedetta is a foreign exchange student from Italy who is attending MHS this school year and living with the DeBerrys.  She discovered she has a brain tumor and will be returning home to begin treatments.

Continue to remember these very special people in prayer……also pray for our quilt ladies who are sick.  Pray for our ministry as we reach out in prayer to many people…….may we continue to give of our time and of our love.

Next quilt night is February 8^th.

 Good afternoon ladies on a nice winter day.

We had a great night last night.   We did lots of pinning, ironing, and tying. 

 906-922. Last Friday and Saturday morning we made 16 flannel blankets to send with a lady to Guatemala.  Last night we prayed for Genia, who is going to Guatemala  to do mission work…We gave a quilt to Genia and gave her the mission quilts….

923.  a quilt for Dave and Jan who are retired missionaries.  Good friends of my sister and brother-in-law.  Dave and Jan’s 50 year old son is in hospice…..

924. a quilt for Vicki who is awaiting surgery.

Pray for Marci and Nate.  Their week has been hard.  Nate was on his way to ER and the baby sitter for the girls has covid.  Pray for Mary today as she cares for the girls.

Our next work night is January 25^th.

 We met at Joyce’s for our Christmas Brunch.  Lots of great fun and laughter and of course FOOD. Joyce (with Marci’s help) had tee shirts made for all:  “Choose Joy Quilt Ministry”.  We gathered in front of the tree for our annual photo shoot.  Joanna took the pics.

 

We tied and prayed over quilts for

902. Joan and Keith.  Keith recently suffered a stroke.

903.  Jody, administrator at StoneyBrooke assisted living where Joy Reed had lived.  Joyce had asked Shonda if there was any one special who cared for Joy; she said that Jody and her family had been very kind and provided wonderful care during Joy’s stay there.  

904. Patience, Cora Youngberg’s friend whose father died unexpectedly.

905. Scott and Heather Funk.  Scott is having a procedure on his heart to control Atrial Fib.  Heather is Deb’s daughter.  Deb is Holly’s stepmother.
