July 24 2019. 591. Ann S. 592. Rene&Bill. 593. Adam&Amy H. 594. Matt&Kelsey S. 595.Titus

Good morning ladies on a beautiful summer morning.
We had a small group last night but it was good.  Thanks Joanna for coming to help us.  Come back again.  Joanna is Holly’s 5 year old daughter.  Only had Karen running a sewing machine.
We prayed for 5 quilts….

591. for our own Ann who is recovering from surgery….

592. for Rene’ and Bill Brunner….Rene’ is limping around with a big foot and for their retirement….

593. for Adam & Amy Hutchinson…Adam is John Barcanic’s brother-in-law…Adam is at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls suffering from Brain cancer…he is a young dad and husband…..
Message from Kathy Barcanic:  Karen, I just received this message from Amy and wanted to pass this along to the ladies that do the prayer quilts. You are such a blessing to so many people, thank you!            “I wanted to let you guys know we got a package here at the hospitality house today. I opened it up and found a lap-sized quilt from the Prayer Quilt group at West Center Baptist Church. It made me cry. One more person (or group of people) praying for us and caring for us who don't even know us.”

594.  For Matt & Kelsey Stone…praying for them in what direction their life will lead them….

595. for  little Titus (almost 2)  who will be having some brain surgery…..he is the son of Joel’s cousin…..they are expecting their second child.

Thanks Holly for the delicious cookies……and I did not have one for breakfast.
Pray for Ann as she continues to heal, for Mary K. as she helps Andy move into another place in Texas, for Mary H. as she packs to leave her present home, for Maria’s little grandson as he grows stronger, and for Nikki as she prepares to teach at the high school.  We all have joys and needs.  May we pray for each other that our group may continue to be a mission to bring joy to people that need a smile.

You are all my special JOY.
Joyce

  1. Karen and Joyce and Johanna and Holly and everyone else who participated in stitching and tying and praying, thank you! What a lovely gift and a beautiful blessing. I cried when I opened the package and read the tag. Hospice can be very lonely some days and I truly appreciate your brightening up a dim and dreary day. In the love of Christ, Amy Hutchisson
