God's Masterpiece

November 14, 2019
Good morning ladies and the sun is shinning.
This is part of the devotions that I read last night.
We are God’s masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
You are a masterpiece, not like the Mona Lisa, which hangs in a museum behind bulletproof glass, beyond the potentially damaging touch of dirty hands.  You are like a Stradivarius violin, whose true beauty and value is seen and experienced in its usefulness__especially when it is used by a master.  Being used by the master in this hurting world is thrilling.  The reason it feels so good to offer food to those who are hungry, a coat to those who are cold, companionship to those who are lonely, a home to a child who is alone, a quilt to warm many hearts (added by Joyce), is because this is what you were made for.  This is the beauty of the Master Jesus using your life.
I thought this really tied in with our mission.  There are so many needs and hurting people and as we draw close to another Christmas may we keep an eye out for those we can warm with our hearts and quilts.

Good morning ladies.  It is a cloudy dreary day.  May we take time to make sunshine in someone’s life today.
We had another busy night.  Just don’t want you ladies just sitting around.
We did quilts for
654.  Shan Reed took a quilt back for Mrs. Naka.

655. Amy B. friend, Janice Steele.  Janice has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  She has 4 young children…..

656.  for Shelby, Joyce’s 91 year old cousin, who fell and broke his hip and arm….

657.  for Katie & Dan Koenig who lost their few month old baby boy….

658.   for Tammy Aakre, Amy B. friend…her grandson tried to commit suicide….having to do much reconstruction to his face…

659.    for Shirley Pagel…an older lady who just needs something to cuddle.

It was Marci and Amy B. birthday’s.  Holly brought cupcakes and Mary H. brought ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Next quilt night will be Nov. 26th.  It will be the last work night of 2019.  Our Christmas party will be Dec. 10th at 6:30 so everyone mark your calendars.  It would be great if everyone could be here.  We always miss those that can not be with us on our quilt nights.
Remember each one of you is special and we need each one of you.
Love, Joyce

                       Always remember:
                     It’s not about the quilt,
                    it’s all about the prayers
