Another quilt night! We are getting back to normal, so Joyce got a list of 9 people who needed quilts this week.  Always fun pinning, sewing, ironing, putting in ties and gabbing and caring for each other.


Here are the 9 quilts that we finished and prayed for:


1522.Michael&Shanna, Thresea Wright’s nephew and his new wife. 



1523.Tammy, a friend/co-worker of Holly who had a cancerous growth removed. 



1524.Doug N. who has some medical issues 


1525.Shanne C., Karen’s son-in-law,  who had quadruple bypass surgery today 



1526.Clinton Rohrer who had some injuries related to a fall


1527.Mary B. who has a meningioma, a tumor in the brain 


1528,1529,1530 Friends of Deanna who recently lost a family member in a tragic car accident (Tom&Boni,  Chad&Melissa, Brendon)

Quilts 1504-1521

Hi everyone! I am going to try and record (accurately) last night’s quilting session.

These are the quilts, some were given before tonight.


1504. Joyce Schrepel ( Mary Kenyon delivered a quilt to her while she was hospitalized).  She is doing much better and has instructions not to “over-do”



1505. Abby Morganti.  She is due soon and Anna presented her with her baby quilt 



1506. Luke and Christa are Shonda’s friends from Sioux Falls.  Krista teaches at SF Christian. They lost their 3 month old son recently. 


1507. Amber is Thresea W’s niece from Tennessee who is battling addiction. 


1508. Marli Wiese is battling stomach cancer 


1509. Tom Brown is dealing with some health issues 


1510. Bev Thayer is Amy’s neighbor whose husband died unexpectedly 


1511. Amy Vickmark had knee surgery recently 


1512. Eleni Sims graduated from USF. 



1513. Bill and Karen; Bill had Open Heart Surgery 


1514. Dale T, Susan Slaughter’s brother, has liver cancer 


1515. Pat Mallet is battling cancer

It was another great night……thank you all you faithful ladies for each part that you do.  It takes time to make a quilt.

We gave three quilts…. 


1501. Ted Faszer, who is dealing with some prostrate cancer…..



1502. Andre, an 11 or 12 year old, dealing with health issues…


1503. Dave, Kinley’s great uncle who will be having open heart surgery.


It was great to have Ted, Marietta, and daughter join us for prayer and treats.

We will meet again August 12th.


Choose Joy each day.

Good morning ladies after a busy quilt night.

It takes a good team to keep our ministry going.  Thank you so much ladies.   Our quilts have brought smiles to many faces.  God has blessed each one of us.  We have now given away 1500 quilts….that is over 6000 yards of fabric….with the help of many generous people we keep going.  Last night we enjoyed good food and a great time of tying and praying.


1491.Holly and Angie took a quilt to Crystal Springs Baptist Camp to Brittney and Andy who lost their unborn baby.  

 


Last night we did quilts for 

1492.Ben B. who graduated from high School…. 


1493.Patty, Mary’s sister who is living with medical problems from a stroke….


1494.Thresea Wright as a thank you for many years as church recorder…… 


1495. Carmen, Holly’s aunt’s sister,  with medical problems…… 





1496.Joanne W. who has had her upper vertebrae fused… 


1497.Janis H. whose husband just passed away after many years of care… 


1498.Steve W. who had shoulder surgery….. 





1499.Jeff & Katie, good friends of daughter Susan…a praise quilt after many hard years….  


And #1500: Captain Trevor Schubert! 



I found the letter from the Prayer Quilt Ministry and we started our ministry in August 2008……………….so may we continue on as long as possible……God still has plans for us.

Lily sorry you had a flat tire while we were having fun.

May each one of you know that you are special and each one of you is a special part of this ministry.

Good morning ladies.

We had a great scrambled up night…but we got much done. 

We did quilts for  

1488.Kevin L. dealing with physical problems


                                                                             


1489.Carson Vennell who graduated from high school


 

 

1490. LaVonne Hass who had her 100th Birthday


 

We enjoyed treats made by Joanna….thanks so much. 

We are not going to meet again until July 8thWe just need to give 9 more quilts and we will reach 1500 so on July 8th we hope to have 9 namesWe are just going to pray for these peopleWe are not going to do other work……this will be sort of a celebration of reaching a new goal…bring an Hors d’oeuvre  (treat) to shareWe will enjoy our time of prayer and fellowship together. 

 These special times of working and fellowshipping together is so special. Pray for each other.
